About Emiz HR
At Emiz HR & Coaching we believe that people are the heart of any business and if you take care of your employees, they will take care of your business. We help founder-owned start-up and scale-up businesses create supportive places to work, and build the foundations for continued, sustainable growth.
For most businesses, your team is your biggest resource and your biggest asset. Setting up your team for success, and nurturing each individual to deliver results, is key to your business goals.
HR has changed so much in the last ten years. It’s no longer about dealing with problems when they occur. It’s about attracting, keeping and developing the right people to grow your business. And it has a direct impact on your bottom line.

Founded by Jessica Brewer, Emiz HR & Coaching has more than a decade of experience working with founder-led businesses across a wide range of industries, from fintech start ups to international creative agencies. We use that experience and knowledge to create HR frameworks that serve the people within the business and fit in with the organisation’s unique culture and values.
“I firmly believe in putting people ahead of process and finding freedom within a framework, giving clarity during the ambiguity of growth and boosting productivity”
Jessica Brewer, founder of Emiz HR & Coaching
People, Culture, Growth
At Emiz HR & Coaching we have a wealth of experience of working with founder-led businesses and helping them to thrive. We understand that as you grow your team, you need the processes in place to get the foundations right.
We can help you to develop the frameworks that serve your people with fairness, create a productive and supportive business culture, and attract and retain the best talent.
Founder's Story
I discovered the importance of HR when the business I was working in went through a restructure. I was running a successful team, but this was a difficult time. I realised that there was a lack of support for both myself and my manager, and I wanted to change things for the better.
I made the transition into HR because I wanted to support business leaders to create working environments for people to thrive. I worked in HR within smaller, founder-run businesses for over ten years, with two years working alongside change management consultants on projects for Walgreens, Boots, Glenica, Bailey Gifford, Yorkshire Water, and building their business for sale.
In May 2020 I started my own HR Consultancy – Emiz HR & Coaching – and have worked with a wide range of clients providing both HR consultancy services and coaching.
I am passionate about creating a better, more inclusive world of work for future generations, inspired by my two young daughters and my own experience of workplace bullying. In my spare time, I am an active volunteer with the Young Women’s Trust, supporting young women with career coaching.
I am a Chartered Master of the CIPD, an ICF Accredited Coach and a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
